JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 16, 2019) — Stellar, a firm providing award-winning construction management at-risk, design-build and general contracting services for a range of commercial and public sector markets, is building a new facility for in Jacksonville.
The new 8,700-square-foot building at 5654 Dunn Ave. will house a new daycare center and early learning programs for the Dayspring Christian Academy and Preschool. Stellar is also adding more than 100 new parking spaces to accommodate the growth. Stellar is partnering with PQH Group and Cobb Clark Enterprises (CCE, LLC) on the project.
“Stellar is proud to partner with The Dayspring Church as they celebrate such a significant milestone,” said Bill Stinson, Vice President, Commercial & Institutional at Stellar. “We applaud their investment in our community by offering needed services, and we look forward to helping facilitate their growth now and in the future.”
The $2.8 million construction project is scheduled to begin on May 19, coinciding with the church’s 135th anniversary celebration. The groundbreaking ceremony will kick off a “Community Fun Day” at noon, which will include music, games, inflatables, a photo booth, face painting and more.
Construction of the new facility is scheduled to be complete in December 2019.
“Our goal is to shape young minds spiritually, academically, culturally and socially so that they will have a solid foundation entering elementary school,” said Letisha Rumlin, Director of Dayspring Christian Academy and Preschool. “We have been at full capacity for the last three years, so the construction of our new facility comes out of a need to serve families looking for quality childcare. It is my belief that our new building will propel Dayspring Christian Academy and Preschool to new heights.”
In addition to its decades of experience in the commercial sector, Stellar has designed and built more than 30 facilities for faith-based organizations in Northeast Florida.
